How To Configure SSH Key-Based Authentication on a Linux Server

  1. if you don’t have a ssh key pair, usualy they are in ~/.ssh/, you need to generate them using
    ssh-keygen
  2. Copy your public key to your linux server
    ssh-copy-id user@server
